The History
our inspiration and more
The Central West End has always been a place where people gather — where connection, culture, and community come together. Inspired by that legacy, we created Bel Air Social as a modern-day meeting place rooted in the neighborhood’s spirit of togetherness.
Located inside the historic Bel Air Motel — now beautifully reimagined as Hotel Indigo — Bel Air Social pays tribute to the area’s past while celebrating its vibrant, evolving present. From the Mississippian settlements to the buzz of the 1904 World’s Fair, to the inclusive and creative energy that shaped the neighborhood through the 20th century, this corner of St. Louis has always brought people together. We’re proud to continue that tradition.
